Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Police stated they were alerted by a individual who found a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Approximately fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a statement.

Police say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Police then found numerous other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state initial examinations show the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to where it came from; authorities are currently not cognizant of any injuries in association with the incident," they added.

Local authorities announced they were working "to solve the incident" and have requested to the community for tips.

An important official said the attack made him speechless and required to be solved promptly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
